CoCoIchi Curry Ordering: Don't Go Too Spicy

At CoCo Ichibanya (CoCoIchi) you choose a sauce, then your rice amount, spice level and toppings. Start mild if it is your first time, because the spice levels go up to 20. Menu books come in English too, and you can point at the menu numbers.

The 3 things to know

  1. Pick your rice amount

Rice runs from 150 g to 400 g in 50 g steps, then 100 g steps above 400 g. Some sauces cost extra for rice over 350 g, so check before you go big.

  2. Start mild on the spice

Spice goes from mild (η”˜ε£, amakuchi) up to level 20, and the default is regular (δΈθΎ›, chuukara). The beef and vegetarian sauces can't be ordered mild, and spiciness differs by person.

  3. Choose your toppings

There are nearly 40 toppings to choose from.
